DayShore brings all of the fun and joy of summer camp right to our community. A partnership between Millington First United Methodist Church and Lakeshore Camp and Retreat Center, children enjoy a Christ-centered week filled with hands-on lessons about God, out-of-the-box worships, tons of activities, good food, and volunteers to share the love of Christ.
DayShore Millington is June 24 – June 28, 2024, and is open to children entering 1st grade through 6th grade. Each camp day starts at 8:30 am and concludes at 4:30 pm. Breakfast, lunch, and two snacks will be provided each day. Drop-off starts at 7:45 thru 8:15 am, and Pick-Up runs from 4:30 to 5:00 pm.
Thanks to the generosity of church and community partners, we are introducing a new tiered pricing system for DayShore Millington registration.
Tier 1: Camp Contributor, $200+ For families who are blessed to be able to pay first-tier pricing, this tier more accurately reflects the true cost of DayShore camp at Millington First United Methodist Church, including scholarships, meals, and all aspects of maintaining facilities in good condition, insurance, utilities, etc. By choosing this tier, you can help First United Methodist Church provide scholarships to other campers in need to continue to share DayShore with our community.
Tier 2: True Cost, $150 – This tier is a mid-level between our historically subsidized rate and the true cost of DayShore camp. This tier reflects the direct costs of what Millington FUMC pays Lakeshore for a week of DayShore, including program costs, summer staff, and camp administration.
Tier 3: Pay What You Can – This tier matches our previous registration summers’ fee for DayShore, which had been subsidized. This rate does not reflect what it “really costs” to offer DayShore for our campers. Because we want to make every effort for DayShore to be as affordable and accessible as possible, Tier 3 is a true “Pay What You Can Option.” We suggest $100/camper, but any amount is accepted.
We appreciate families that can afford the “Camp Contributor” and “True Cost” tiered pricing. Millington FUMC is committed to providing the “Pay What You Can” tier to ensure that any child who wants to participate is able to! Multiple siblings? Tight summer budget? Please feel free to contact us with any questions about the new tiered pricing system. We do not want cost to be the reason a child doesn’t participate in DayShore!!! God’s grace is for ALL!!!
